Furniture Sales & Shipments. |
Purchasing new furniture for most people is a sizable investment. You should carefully compare exactly all the different elements of the purchase; i. e., the quality of the product, reputations of the manufacturer and the dealer, warranties given by both and etc. To be sure you are getting the best overall furniture value for your money, you should compare price, delivery, service and return policies. In the process of shopping for furniture and comparing quotes, you should find out how your order is going to be shipped to you. The methods and terms of delivery being offered and the processes used in getting damage taken care of are all elements that should carefully be evaluated. Most online dealers and so called North Carolina warehouses and/or discounters will ship your fine furniture by common carrier or LTL lines (less-than-truck-load types). Some other e-commerce furniture dealers use so called "furniture movers" with somewhat limited success. Our experience, gathered over the past 22 years in shipping and receiving furniture, is that while the shipping rates for these truck lines are sometimes low, the problems caused by shipping damage can be frequent and enormous. In the past, when we used common carriers, the primary problem was the amount of freight damage. It sometimes was to the point of near total destruction. And often the truck drivers making the deliveries were sometimes less than cooperative, and even rude in working with our customers. We had reported instances where they would not help our customers get the boxes off the back end of their truck or move the product down a difficult driveway.
Any warranty follow-up, if required, is included with your purchase. Our goal is to provide total satisfaction at no additional cost and inconvenience to you our customer.
